At Emmanuel and St. Mary’s we are concerned to provide relevant pastoral and spiritual provision for those of all ages.
The Senior Citizens work aims to give opportunities for service for the many active people who are in the early years of retirement and to provide support for those who might otherwise be housebound - through the monthly informal meetings, the quarterly 'Sing-a-longs' and the board games afternoons.
We are increasingly working together with other churches in the town and there is a united 'Combined Seniors Ministry' (CSM) which encourages the sharing of resources with the other Anglican Churches in Loughborough. An annual 'Songs of Praise', coach trips for days out, a Christmas party and an annual holiday are all great opportunities for friendship building.
For the 'active retired' or 3rd agers there are plenty of ways to get involved in the life of the Parish - through the monthly mens and womens meetings, housegroups, ramblers, lunch time concerts, Alpha course and much more!
