I was first attracted to Emmanuel by something special in the Sunday morning worship. It was as if I was taken to a different place. That was in 1992, since then, I believe, God has been seriously at work here, guiding and equipping his people for mission and to make a difference in the world. It has been a challenging and immensely nourishing journey. The great thing is that we try to unconditionally welcome all and seek to be inclusive in all we do. Sometimes, of course, we fail but we do want to be able to hear and learn, both from God and from each other.
My current roles at Emmanuel are as a Church Warden and a Lay Reader (licensed to preach among other things). I am married to Ros, we have three post university children ( Katharine, Edward and Georgina ). I retired from full time work in business a few years ago and now am involved with a number of Christian and voluntary organisations. Ros and I are half way through a 4 year plan to walk the Pyrenees from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean coast.
