Adult baptism and reaffirmation time...
During Evening Praise on Sunday 8th June (6:30pm), they’ll be an opportunity to be baptised or to reaffirm your baptism (recommit yourself to God) by full immersion in a special baptism tank. If you’d be interested in either being baptised or reaffirming your baptism, or would like to find out more please do chat with or e-mail David Newman, Helen Newman or Barry Hill. They'll be a preperation time sometime in the week or two beforehand, so if you're unsure you'd be welcome to come to the prep time and then decide. The service will also include a time of prayer and commissioning for students leaving the university or colleges this summer and will be followed by a little party - more details to follow...

PARISH WALK - Thursday 12th June
South Leicestershire – ‘The Langtons’. Beautiful countryside. Carry picnic. Start 10am at STONTON WYVILLE (Grid reference 738947). A short climb to start with, then gently undulating fields with many stiles. Designed to be a leisurely walk with a lunchtime drinks stop at a pub at East Langton. (No meals are being booked). Length about 6½ miles.
There are no toilets at the start or finish.
The walk will finish about 2.30pm. Possible then to travel to Hallaton for tea.
Please let me know if you intend to come so that we don’t set off without you.
Contact Roger Willson via the Parish Office HERE
Suggested routes:
1. I usually go via Queniborough, then eastwards to join the B6047 Melton to Harborough road. Follow this through Tilton, across the A47, then on to Tur Langton where you turn left for Stonton Wyville. There is no loo at all this way there. Stonton Wyville is a small settlement. I suggest you park on an unmade road to the right at the cross roads, below Langton Caudle, a prominent hill. Allow about an hour to get there.
2. If you feel you need a loo, travel via Leicester, then head south on the A6 and at Kibworth turn right at the Coach and Horses. A short way along is the parish church, St WiIfrid's, on the left. I have arranged that we can use the church hall loos from 9.30. Car park opposite. Just say that you are part of the Emmanuel walking group. Best to be comfortable!! From the church, drive back to the A6 and take the road almost opposite: a short way on it is a right turn to Tur Langton. At the B6047 there is a slight right and then left. Stonton Wyville is the first village out on this road.

June Lunchtime Concert - The 10th Anniversary Finale

All are welcome (tickets not required) and admission is free (but we do appreciate donations to cover the expenses of putting on each series). All concerts held at Emmanuel Church Centre. For more information on music at Emmanuel click HERE.
