Welcome

A big part of the Wednesday group is “welcome.” We are a group of mixed ages from many of the churches across Loughborough. There is a creche for people with pre-school children. We enjoy a coffee time each week and have plans for other social events this term.We are always pleased to welcome new people. 

Prayer

We like to regularly pray for each other in small groups and to share items for prayer outside of the meeting. Everyone can participate in whatever way they feel comfortable. We also include some form of worship each week.

Bible Study

There is lots of opportunity for discussion about faith issues and the bible with an emphasis on how we apply what we read to our daily lives. Through shared leadership, we hope to offer a variety of learning styles. We have just completed a term looking at "personal stories, personal psalms", a series considering inspirational Christian men and women and linking into a different psalm each week. Next term (which commences on 21st April), we will be devoting our time to the book of Acts. 

Service

We have links with Hope House (a project to support homeless young women), African Steps and Care for the Family. We run regular fund raising events for these charities. We also hope to support each other in times of individual need and in the voluntary community work many of us are involved in.
