Works in Progress (WIP) 

 

WIP is a community to encourage and share lives with each another, to build each other up and enable mission in a variety of practical ways, where we feel God is leading us.

 

 

We hold a main meeting once a month and 2 smaller “satellite” groups meet in between the main meeting (more details below).

 

Main meetings (4th Monday of the month)

The main WIP community meetings take place on the 4th Monday of the month. We meet at 7.30pm in the upstairs room of the Old Pack Horse pub, 4 Woodgate, Loughborough.

 

In our main meetings we aim to:

 

• Share our lives together

• Hear news from each satellite group (see below for details), so we can support each other better

• Find out about each other as individuals: what our day-to-day lives look like, our role in mission in Loughborough and beyond, plus items for prayer so we can support each other spiritually

• Read and reflect on bible passages

• Pray

 

Our main meeting dates until the end of the year are:

  

Monday 27th September - 7:30pm at Old Pack Horse pub, 4 Woodgate, Loughborough

  

Monday 25th October- 7:30pm at Old Pack Horse pub, 4 Woodgate, Loughborough

 

Monday 22nd November - 7:30pm at Old Pack Horse pub, 4 Woodgate, Loughborough

Smaller satellite groups (2nd Monday of the month)

Two smaller satellite groups meet at 7.30pm on the 2nd Monday of each month, in between the main monthly meetings. These are more focused around mission areas and meet in people’s homes around town.

 

Practical Acts of Service

This group focuses on practical acts of service for both the church and wider community. We consider taking actions that have a positive effect for the people and environment of Loughborough. We meet each month for fellowship and planning activities. In the past we have helped someone move house, carried out gardening work and cooked meals for outreach events.

Supporting Mission

Supporting Mission This group is comprised of members who are already engaged with the mission they feel called to be part of, in our wider community or in church. We are a diverse group with many passions, but we aim to support one another with prayer and fellowship.

New event!!

Social / questions night (1st Monday of the month)

This is a time to meet socially for a drink, a chat and to ask questions. Meeting from 7.30pm in the Old Pack Horse pub (downstairs), we might talk through the questions you’ve always wanted to share with others, or study a bible passage together.
