Seekers Community
'Seekers' is a growing community of people with these core values:
- We are seeking to share the love of God displayed in the 'Good News' to others not yet committed to Him, or as yet unchurched.
- We seek to disciple each other through teaching courses.
- We seek to impact the Loughborough community through social concern projects eg litter-picking.
- We seek to help people to find their giftings/ministries and support them to operate in the Body of Christ.
- We seek to be a praying people. We pray for Emmanuel Church and our clergy, Loughborough churches and ministers, other communities in Emmanuel and their leaders, personal needs.
- We seek to have fun together! We have social evenings with a bring and share meal, and a good time is had by all. There will be more of these informal gatherings where we can 'chill out' and enjoy each other's company.
We usually meet in Emmanuel Church Centre at 7.30pm on Wednesdays.
Our meetings generally take the form of singing and worship, teaching, small groups for discussion and prayer, then back all together for reports and planning, then a final song and closing prayer.
We are a mixed bunch too. We range from students to retired people and we just love everybody that comes. If you are not yet in a community, come and get the treatment!
