 THE AMBASSADORS COMMUNITY

 Paul said “We are Christ’s ambassadors…” - 2 Corinthians 5:20

The ‘Ambassadors’ Community is open to everyone and, as our title implies, we seek to represent the good news of Jesus to all we meet. In particular we support, in prayer and practice, ‘Open-House’ (led by Guy Stokes) which meets in the Emmanuel ‘Lounge’ every Sunday afternoon, offering hospitality and fellowship to overseas visitors (students, academics etc) studying or working in Loughborough. ‘Open-House’ also hosts several other ‘friendship- evangelism’ activities and our Community’s Summer garden party was attended by 35 of our overseas friends.

The Community supports the regular Gospel Praise services at ‘Connaught House Sheltered Home’. These are organised by Clive and Judith Hilton with involvement from several local fellowships.

Our members are also involved in a number of other expressions of service, in which we pray and support each other. And of course we occasionally enjoy meals and happy social times together.

Placing considerable importance on prayer, we meet most Wednesdays at 7 30 pm in a home for Bible-study, prayer and fellowship. Those seeking to represent Jesus in England today need plenty of help and in our prayers we turn again and again to the best source of help available.
