Jancis Barlow
Pastoral Assistant
Jancis took early retirement from teaching about 10 years ago when she swapped her role at Emmanuel from CYFA leader to Lay Pastoral Assistant, a role she enjoys very much.  She co-ordinates quite a lot of the pastoral work at Emmanuel, and her gifts are based around listening, encouraging and supporting people who are in difficult situations.   She is a trained Counsellor and a Christian Listener Tutor for Acorn Christian Healing Foundation.  When time permits she enjoys working in her garden, going to concerts, occasional travel and especially visiting relatives in New Zealand.  Contact Jancis HERE.

Adele Adshead
Pastoral Assistant
Adele was a primary school teacher for many years but has not returned to full-time work while her family is growing up.  She was licensed as a pastoral assistant in Sept 2005 and enjoys working as a part-time volunteer on the staff team at Emmanuel.   Her role is mainly with young families so she spends a lot of time chatting and listening to parents and leaders as well as playing with young children and cuddling babies!  Adele also has a dream of setting up a therapy centre for children and young people affected by early neglect and abuse.  She loves singing and is a member of The8.  Contact Adele HERE.
