Jancis Barlow
Pastoral Assistant
Jancis took early retirement from teaching about 10 years ago when she swapped her role at Emmanuel from CYFA leader to Lay Pastoral Assistant, a role she enjoys very much.  She co-ordinates quite a lot of the pastoral work at Emmanuel, and her gifts are based around listening, encouraging and supporting people who are in difficult situations.   She is a trained Counsellor and a Christian Listener Tutor for Acorn Christian Healing Foundation.  When time permits she enjoys working in her garden, going to concerts, occasional travel and especially visiting relatives in New Zealand.  Contact Jancis HERE.

Adele Adshead
Pastoral Assistant
Adele began working as a pastoral assistant at Emmanuel in September 2005 and is enjoying seeing how her role evolves this year.  Lots of the activities she is involved in are to do with children and young families and she also has a heart for community links.  Along with coordinating housegroups and running the children's choir it's sometimes a challenge for her to keep life simple!   For her, though, more important though than any of the projects and "things" she gets involved in, is to try to stay interruptible and available to spend time with people.  Contact Adele HERE.
