What is a church service like?

We usually have three services each Sunday, each with its own style, from the more traditional to informal and contemporary. You are very welcome at any of them. More details about what each service is like and what time they start can be found HERE (although Children’s groups are only at the 10am service). Feel free to dress as you feel comfortable, there is no need to dress smartly unless you would like to. Each service normally includes a bible reading, some teaching, prayer and often musical worship. We also share bread and wine in communion together during some services, reminding us of what Jesus did through his life, death and resurrection. Check out the News and Events page to see exactly what's coming up.

At our two larger services (10am and 6:30pm) we use video projection, so if you want to join in with the words, tChurch Buildinghey’re easy to follow (at many services a larger print paper copy is also available). If you are a Christian and want to share communion with us you’d be very welcome (a member of the welcome team will show you when to go up). If you don’t want to receive communion, we’d be delighted to pray a short prayer of God’s blessing for you instead (just go up with everyone else, and tell the person handing out the bread that you would like this), or if you’d prefer please feel free to stay in your seat.  We have gluten, wheat and dairy free bread available.

After our 10am and 6:30pm services we have a small team of people available to pray with you, if you would like. They will be in the side chapel (the front right corner of church). This time is an opportunity to receive prayer about something mentioned in the service, for healing of a health problem, or for any other needs. We believe that God is involved in people’s lives, and prayer is one way we see this happening. This time of prayer is confidential between God, you, and a couple of members of our team. If you would like prayer, and there isn’t a prayer ministry team available, just ask the leader of the service, and they will always find someone to pray with you.
