Alpha: explore the meaning of life

“life-changing” … “I couldn’t wait to go back the following week” “I was really welcomed” … “I really needed to ask questions” …from people attending The Alpha Course
“What Alpha offers, and what is attracting thousands of people, is permission to discuss the big questions - life and death and their meaning.” The Guardian Newspaper

Alpha is a great opportunity to find out what Christianity is about, it’s a chance to discuss who Jesus claimed He was and what difference that might make to us. With short talks, a meal and a relaxed, informal setting, it’s designed especially for people with little or no church background. Everyone is welcome and no question off limits.
Our next Alpha Course starts this October, with a taster evening on Tuesday 14th. The taster night will be a chance to see what Alpha is about, chat with some who were on the last Alpha Course, enjoy great live music, food and drink, and ask any questions you might have. It's from 7:30pm in the Emmanuel Church Centre. The course continues from 21st October for nine Tuesday evenings, although don't worry if you can't make an evening - we have short booklets available with a summary of what was covered. each evening has a meal, short talk and an opportunity for discussion on some of the big questions of life. All sessions are from 7:30-9:30pm and at Emmanuel Church Centre.

To book your place for the taster evening contact us HERE with your name and any special dietary requirements. There is no charge for the course, but if you’d like to contribute something towards the cost of the food that would be appreciated (though absolutely not required).
